wide – amplio
“The hotel room has great wide windows.”
tall – alto (Siempre se utiliza para personas, pero además, se usa para describir cosas altas y delgadas en su forma, como edificios y árboles.)
“Carlos is very tall for his age.”
high – alto (Siempre se utiliza para describir montes o montañas, así como cosas que se encuentran en un lugar elevado.)
“The Alps are very high mountains.”
deep – profundo
“The sea is very deep here; you’d better be careful and don’t go swimming very far away!”
shallow – poco profundo / superficial
“The children were playing in the shallow end of the swimming pool.”
long – largo
“She has long hair.”
length – longitud
“Measure the length of the wall, then we’ll know how much paper we will need.”
short – corto
“It’s a short ride from Toluca to Mexico City.”
height – altitud
“The height of that shelf is two meters.”
low – bajo
“This chair is too low for me.”
